Greetings, everyone! I'll be attending the event and facilitating the Global Workshop for Indigenous and Local Communities: Biodiversity,... which takes place October 14 from 9am - 5pm in room Contact Group III. The workshop will engage CoP 11 participants and colleagues around the world with new networking tools that spotlight indigenous and local community tourism services that conserve traditional culture and biodiversity. Many of the examples are drawn from the participants in the Indigenous Tourism and Biodiversity Website Award.
Hi all
I will be in Hyderabad from Fri 5th until Wednesday 17th. GBIF has side events on Monday 8th and Thursday 11th (see our meetings page) and we will have a story during COP about new research using massive amounts of open-access plant data from South America to help prioritize protected areas.
I will also be taking part in the 'TED'-style 20/20 talks, on Aichi Target 1, on Saturday 12th.
I hope to see some of your there!
I am not attending, but I will most likely write a few blogs for Forbes on the event, especially on developments related to business and finance.
I will be there between 10-19. I am there for a parallel event- International Youth Forum Go4BioDiv www.go4biodiv.org ; and also organizing a side-event on "Biodiversity heritage sites for climate change adaptation" on October 12 (13.15- 14.45) Room 1.05 - Level 1. You are invited !
I am located at Hyderabad. I will be attending the COP from the 8th.
