I am a graduate of the Univeristy of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: BSc (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry), MSc (Chemistry). I have practiced as a journalist for 10 years (Reporter, Sub ditor, Chief Sub Editor, Online news editor) for major Tanzania newspapers, The Guardian and The Citizen. I then worked with the United Nations as communications officer. I now head the communication team at one of Africa's leading health research institutions, the Ifakara Health Institute.
