Biography for David Njagi

David Njagi is a freelance journalist, born, and practicing in Kenya. He specializes in print and photojournalism and has a special inclination towards science and human rights related work.

David has six years experience in the field of journalism, having graduated from Kenya Polytechnic University College with a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations in 2003.

He has also embarked on several professional development trainings with respected institutions such as Internews Kenya, the Sida Makerere Environmental Training Programme and the Media Council of Kenya, among others.

Locally, he has done some work, both in print and photography, for the Daily Nation, The East African, Business Daily, Daily Metro, The Standard, The Leader, Kenya Times, Nairobi Star and People Daily, which are all Kenyan national newspapers.

At the International and online level, he has done some work for Science and Development Network (SciDev.Net), Islam Online, Reuters Alert Net, IPS, Africa Science News Servic and the Newpeople Media Pan African Magazine.

David is keen to seek any opportunity that develops him professionally and enriches his career, both at the local and international levels.

He is a member of the Nairobi based photography club which meets at the Alliance Francaise artistic and cultural center.
