James Fahn is the Executive Director of Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN), a non-profit project which aims to improve the quantity and quality of environmental coverage in the media. James previously worked for nearly a decade as the environment editor of The Nation, a Bangkok-based, English-language daily newspaper. He has also written articles for The Economist, Jakarta Post, San Francisco Chronicle and Newsweek, published a book entitled, A Land on Fire: The Environmental Consequences of the Southeast Asian Boom, hosted an environmental feature program on Thai TV, and served as a program associate with the Ford Foundation. James is a recipient of the UN Environment Program’s Global 500 award and was pinned by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for service to the Kingdom of Thailand.
