As an islands journalist since 1982, my concerns relate to the fact that Pacific Islands are on the forefront of threats from climate change. Logging, mining and fishing within the region are also threats to biodiversity. In communicating biodiversity, I wish to congratulate BMA in choosing the Ning network. This shows information leadership by example, illustrating how others can also effectively communicate through social networks, rather than wasting scarce resources on proprietory websites.
