I am a journalist based in Kisumu, Kenya. I am a practicing journalist for the last ten years. My field of interest has been on environment and health. I have done a lot of stories for international media outlets like Ooskanews and New Agriculturists. Kisumu city is located at the shores of Lake Victoria, the second largest fresh water lake in the world, my reporting has targeted this lake which has been polluted by companies releasing raw effluent into the lake, the lake is also chocked by an invasive species of weed, the water hyacinth.

N/B. I had applied to be considered to cover the biodiversity meeting but no word yet, so I don't know whether I will attend.
