Japan Civil Network for Convention on Biological Diversity(JCN-CBD), was established in January 2009 in order to form the foundation of the Japanese civil society as a host NGO network of the CBD COP10. There are three main objectives;
1) Establishment of the foundation of the civil society,
2) Participation in the negotiation process,
3) Expansion the scope of the participation, communication and cooperation.
