I am a degree candidate at Harvard University. My interest in biodiversity began in earnest with my first trip to Africa in the year 2000. I returned five more times. I am interested in the "sustainable use" approach toward biodiversity preservation as exemplified by the CBNRM programs in Southern Africa. I am a life member of SCI, as well as a current associate member of the IPHA.

I encourage continuing education, particularly in the area of environmental concerns, through a social networking organization which I founded in 2006: The Cambridge Moveable Feast. Three of the events which our group attended so far this year had E.O Wilson as the main speaker - and it was, of course, Ed Wilson who coined the term "biodiversity" in 1986. Professor Wilson is currently Pellegrino University Research Professor (Emeritus) here at Harvard.

I am currently writing a book on the relationship between culture and nature.
