I have been devoted to studying, understanding, conserving and using biodiversity for sustainable use since 1970s.Have taught and conducted resaerch for 15 years at university level and several doctral and research students completed degrees successfully . Published around 60 papers in research journals..While based in London I have been responsible for creating, designing, launching, implementing and managing Commonwealth's International programme of Biological Diversity and Genetic resources in 32 countries of the world. 7 books were published out of this work and many training programmes developed. The Iwokorama Rain forest Programme of the Commonwealth was initiated, developed at initial stages and first project report launched in 1990 and i was th Professional ecologist who single handed worked to move it into its next phase. Communicated results and processes in my publicationsUNCTAD's Book on "Promoting and Protecting Traditional Knowledge was edited by me for its entire technical content- a challenge I enjoyed as it brought to the fore front issues of local habitats and their maintenance in biodiversity rich regions especially.
