Last call for UEBT's Biodiversity Awards!

Applications are still open until the 1st of October 2010

In the context of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity, United Business Media (UBM) and
the Union for Ethical Biotrade (UEBT) have launched the Biodiversity Awards; which will be presented at the Health Ingredients Fair Europe (HIE) in Madrid, in November 2010.

The Biodiversity Awards aim to recognise the efforts of companies in the food sector to support the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity throughout their supply chains. The Biodiversity Awards are divided into two categories: leadership in biodiversity, and innovation in biodiversity.

Do you know of a company who is doing significant work in the field of biodiversity? UEBT is looking for companies or brands from the food sector that are involved in initiatives related to biodiversity. These initiatives could range from work that contributes to the conservation of biodiversity at a company level, to projects linked to a specific product and supply chain.

UEBT is looking for candidates for these awards. If you would like to suggest a candidate or

would like to submit an application, please send the name of the company and/or
the initiative to the UEBT secretariat at info@ethicalbiotrade.org.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges composed of recognized experts and

announced at HIE in November 2010.
