Founded in 1969, IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare) saves animals in crisis around the world. With projects in more than 40 countries, IFAW rescues individual animals, works to prevent cruelty to animals, and advocates for the protection of wildlife and habitats.
I manage IFAW communications for tigers and the CBD, and also over see our global education program that focuses on a different animals and conservation theme each year. The program reaches 5,000,000 kids in eight languages and 15+ countries. We have recently launched a comprehensive tigers education program (http://www.ifaw.org/animalaction) and initiative to bring the voices of the world's children (http://www.ifaw.org/youthroar) to the global tiger summit in St. Petersburg (21-24 November). Next year, we will be launching a new program on elephants.
